Richmond Street Public School was officially opened on Tuesday, May 9, 1961. Presently, Richmond Street has a student population of approximately 400 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. We have a team of just over 35 staff members composed of teachers, principal, vice-principal, secretary, custodians, support staff, youth counselor, educational assistants, learning resource teachers, and a teacher-librarian.
Richmond Street School provides a rich and varied program in language arts, reading, math, the arts, social sciences, physical education, design and technology, and computers. Students participate in experiences and opportunities which encourage the development of excellence, integrity, tolerance, respect and a sense of social responsibility.
